U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has vowed to ‘come after’ the leaker who revealed a confidential ICE memo detailing plans for a ‘large-scale’ immigration raid in Los Angeles. Speaking at her first press conference on February 12th, Bondi warned that such leaks jeopardize the lives of law enforcement officers and undermine America’s efforts to enforce immigration laws. The leaker, who has not yet been revealed, made it known that agents are poised to carry out a ‘large scale’ action in Los Angeles before the end of this month. Standing alongside federal agents, including those from the FBI, Bondi echoed President Trump’s hardline stance on immigration, she echoed the president’s rhetoric as she vowed the Justice Department would take on communities that thwart federal immigration efforts and warned about leaking information in public about future planned raids. ‘If anyone leaks anything, people don’t understand that jeopardizes the lives of our great men and women in law enforcement, and if you leaked it, we will find out who you are and we will come after you. Bondi made these remarks outside Super Bowl 59 at the New Orleans Superdome, emphasizing that the Justice Department will not tolerate leaks that hinder Trump’s mass deportation program. During her another interview, She added that the leakers will not get in the way of ‘our mission’ to carry out Donald Trump’s mass deportation program. ‘It’s not going to stop the president’s mission to make America safe again. If you don’t follow the law, you will be prosecuted by the Department of Justice.’ A White House intelligence source said: ‘There is a mile long line of DHS trucks and CBP in front of Camp Pendleton right now, ready to do the biggest illegal immigrant grab in recent history. According to ICE, daily immigration arrests have surged to 1,000-1,200, far above the fiscal year 2024 average of 311. Former ICE Director Tom Homan praised the progress, noting that illegal border crossings have dropped from 10,000 to under 600 per day under Trump’s policies. However, Homan stressed that America needs ‘more deportations’ to secure its borders. ‘It was a great start.
